Rozella attended school in Thurman later moving to the Farragut area where she met and married Raymond (Gene) Houston in 1959. To this union 3 children were born, Teena, Rhonda and Marrell. Rozella was a devoted wife and mother and spent her life growing and canning fruits and vegetables along with baking and cooking for the family. She loved animals and cared for and fed her many chickens, rabbits, a raccoon named Critter, and the many species of birds in her yard. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and the many fishing, boating and camping trips we all took together. Rozella so loved the Christmas season and she would get just as excited, if not even more, than her grandchildren about buying and gifting presents to those she loved. Every year at Christmas she would bake dozens!! and dozens!! and dozens!! of cookies for everyone and continued to do so until she was 77 years old. Rosie was always happiest when she was doing special things for her family.

Preceding Rozella in death were her parents; her husband, Raymond (Gene) Houston; daughter, Rhonda Houston; and sister, Mary Starr.
