Mark D. Mark D. Dinsmore, son of Harold D. and Eloise J. (Johnson) Dinsmore, was born on October 19, 1959, at the Hamburg Hospital in Hamburg, Iowa.  He entered into rest on December 22, 2021, at Nebraska Medicine – Omaha (UNMC), at the age of 62 years, 2 months, 3 days.

Growing up in Farragut, Iowa, Mark attended the Farragut Community Schools.  He graduated from Farragut High School with the Class of 1978.  He then attended Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Missouri.  He would later move to Valentine, Nebraska, where he worked on a cattle ranch.  Upon moving back to southwest Iowa, Mark worked for various farmers.

Chance would have it that he moved to Marshall, Missouri, where he met his future wife, Tammy Utlaut.   They were united in marriage on June 11, 1988, at the First Christian Church in Marshall.   In 1992, Mark and Tammy moved to Shenandoah, Iowa, where Mark began his employment with Pella Corporation.  He continued to work there for 25 years.  Mark and Tammy purchased a small acreage in rural Essex, Iowa in 1999, where they raised their two children, Cody and Shelby.

Mark enjoyed spending time outdoors, hunting and observing wildlife around the farm.  Another hobby he enjoyed was being a member of the Tarkio Valley Antique Tractor Association, participating in the tractor drives and reminiscing with the “older” farmers.  He also enjoyed watching the Royals and Chiefs play.  Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.  He especially loved his three little granddaughters.

Preceding Mark in death were his grandparents; mother-in-law and father-in-law Edie and Marvin Utlaut.  Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Tammy Dinsmore of rural Essex, IA; son, Cody Dinsmore and wife Tattum of Clarinda, IA; daughter, Shelby Sperfslage and husband Quentin of rural Riverton, IA; three granddaughters, Kynlee Hughes, Joanna and Sophia Sperfslage; parents, Harold and Eloise Dinsmore of Farragut, IA; brother, Marlin Dinsmore and wife Debbie of Farragut, IA; sister, Marcia Johnson and husband Mark of Shenandoah, IA; sister-in-law, Terry Cobb and husband Bobby of Marshall, MO; niece, Mackenzie (Johnson) Scrivens and husband Luke of Savannah, MO;  nephew, Jeremy Harlin and wife Valery of St. Louis, MO; niece, Shannon (Harlin) Clemens and husband Tyler of Marshall, MO; other extended family; and many friends.
