Jutta Karin (Wichald) Hale, daughter of Acker and Ruth (Heinz) Wichald, was born on August 2, 1947, in Landau, Germany. She peacefully entered into eternal rest on Friday morning, December 3, 2021, at her rural Imogene, Iowa home at the age of 74 years, 4 months, 1 day.
A natural born citizen of Germany, Jutta spent her early life growing up in the Landau, Munich and Stuttgart communities. She graduated high school in Landau with the Class of 1968.
On August 23, 1974, Jutta was united in marriage to Terry Lee Hale in Landau, Germany. Terry was stationed in Germany while serving in the United States Army and the two became inseparable. To this union three children were born, Chris, Danicla and Nathan. Following their marriage, they made their home in the Shenandoah, Iowa area. The couple recently celebrated their 47th Wedding Anniversary in August.
Most of her married life, Jutta worked as a homemaker to Terry and the kids. However, there was a time after the kids were grown that she worked in road construction and helped Terry in his construction business. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, working puzzles, camping with the family and playing games on her computer. Most of all, Jutta enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.
Preceding Jutta in death were her parents. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Terry Hale of Imogene, IA; her three children, Chris Hale of Great Falls, MT, Daniela Hale of Shenandoah, IA, and Nathan Hale of Clarinda, IA; 11 grandchildren; three great granddaughters, Elizabeth, Hadley and Aurora; three siblings, Petra Kock, Gerhard Wichald and Andrea Kern, all of Germany; other relatives and many friends.
