Craig Albert Morris, son of Joseph Leroy and Mary Rosanna (Parks) Morris, was born on June 27, 1965 in Flint, Michigan.   He peacefully entered into eternal rest on Monday, November 2, 2020 at Bergan Mercy (CHI) Health Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 55 years, 4 months, 8 days.

His early life was spent growing up in Oxford, Michigan.  He attended the Oxford Community Schools, graduating from Oxford High School with the Class of 1983.  He enlisted in the United States Army in the Spring of 1984 and was discharged before completing basic training due to an injury.

On April 12, 2003, Craig was united in marriage to Traci Renee Bennett in Hamburg, Iowa.  Following their marriage they resided at Sidney, Iowa before moving to Shenandoah, Iowa.

While living in Michigan, Craig worked at various factory jobs, mostly in the automobile industry, before moving to southwest Iowa.  From 2002 to 2014, he worked at American Meter in Nebraska City, Nebraska.   Craig defeated Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, twice, in 2013 and 2015.  However, he developed neuropathy in 2014, which effectively forced him to withdraw from working full time.  In April of 2018, he began working at the Shenandoah Medical Center and was currently employed as a part-time housekeeper.

In his spare time, Craig loved watching sports, especially football and his Michigan Wolverines.  He also enjoyed reading the bible, listening to Christian music, watching his daughters’ activities and playing with his grandchildren.  He was a member of the Shenandoah American Legion Post #88 for three years and loved to worship at the Nishna Valley Christian Church in Shenandoah where he had been a member for over 15 years.

Preceding Craig in death were his maternal grandparents, Katherine and Earl Taylor and Rollin Oliver; paternal grandparents, Daniel and Maude Morris; and his father, Joseph Leroy Morris.  Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Traci Morris and their twin daughters, Katie and Cassidy Morris, of the home; son, Jay Ludington of Shenandoah, IA, two daughters, Chelsea Fox of Tabor, IA and Emily Fox of Maryville, MO; mother, Mary Parks of Lapeer, MI; two brothers, Ron Morris  and Jeff Morris, both of Lapeer, MI; sister, Dawn Parrish of Quincy, MI; three grandchildren, Adryian, Arryianna and Trae of Tabor, IA; other relatives; and many friends.
