Growing up, Cindy spent her childhood in West Point, Nebraska along with her four sisters and three brothers. She graduated from West Point High School with the Class of 1981.  Cindy went on to attend Wayne State College before finishing her degree at Kearney State College, graduating in 1986.

She had close to 150 children under her care.  Some returned with their own children years later. She enjoyed this very much.  She also had the opportunity to care for her granddaughter, Isabelle until she started Pre-K.
