Beverly Verlee Ryan was born on August 25, 1940, on a farm south of Corning, Iowa. She was the only child of Homer and Addy (Grady) Keith. She entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
As a teenager she worked at several restaurants. Beverly met and married Don Ryan and they became a truck driving team together. They drove for Heartland Express and traveled all over the United States. She loved to talk on the CB and converse with others from all over.
To this union two children were born, Terri and Robert (Gene). Once the kids were in school, she worked in the nurseries of Mount Arbor, Earl May and Henry Fields. In her last job, she worked as a locksmith with Butch's Key Shop in Shenandoah.
Beverly was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post #88 in Shenandoah and was also a member of the Shenandoah Eagles Club. She was loved by many and will be remembered as a giver and who had a big heart. When she came into your room, she lit it up, she'd be laughing and joking and that was just who she was, Beverly never knew a stranger.
A very crafty person, Beverly made things all the time, she loved to crochet and knit and while in the nursing home, she enjoyed coloring or painting pictures for anyone who requested one. She will be missed.
Beverly knew who GOD & JESUS were and wasn't afraid to share her testimony.
Preceding Beverly in death were her husband Donald Ryan, Jr.; her parents, Homer and Addy Keith; daughter, Terry; son, Robert; four brothers-in-law, Harry Cunningham, James Ryan, Duane Lorimor and Morris Wynn; three sisters-in-law, Joyce Wynn, Shirley Cunningham, and Jean Walters; and a half-brother, Harry Hoyt. Left to cherish her memory are her sisters-in-law, Cecelia Hoyt of Wisconsin and Evelyn Lorimor of Shenandoah; many nephews and nieces from all over the USA; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; other relatives; and many friends
