William Randolph Beck, Jr, son of William Randolph, Sr. and Mary Agnes (Stone) Beck was born on September 17, 1967 in Des Moines, Iowa.  He unexpectedly passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2019.  As an organ donor, William was able to help many people with his gracious gift of extended life to those in need.

William graduated from Lincoln High School in Des Moines, Iowa in 1986.  He was involved in Boy Scouts as a youngster.  Following high school graduation he attended the University of Iowa and Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville.  William worked as a Retail Manager at Barbara's Books and most recently at Ace Hardware.

In his spare time William enjoyed bowling, watching hockey, especially his favorite team, the Chicago Blackhawks.  He enjoyed brewing his own beer, biking and wood working.

On October 28, 2006 he was united in marriage to Mary Joan (Boyer) Sparks in Chicago, Illinois.  They lived a short time in Chicago before settling in Shenandoah.  At that time, he became a step father to Mary's three daughters, Samantha, Amy and Bridgett.

Preceding William in death was his father, William Beck, Sr.  Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Mary of Shenandoah; his mother Mary Agnes Beck of Des Moines; three siblings, Cindy (Scott) Carpenter of Des Moines, Pete (Lisa) Beck of Des Moines, and Jenn (JT) McCubbin of Glover, SC; step daughters, Samantha Stoner, Amy Stoner and Bridgett Stoner; as well as other relatives and many friends.
