Randy Lee Archer, son of Harold Everett and Doris Elaine (Campbell) Archer, was born on September 24, 1955 in Shenandoah, Iowa. He entered into peace on December 24, 2018 at Nebraska Medicine – Omaha at the age of 63 years, 3 months.
All of Randy’s life was spent in southwest Iowa. At an early age, the family lived in the Randolph, Imogene, Farragut communities before settling in Shenandoah, where Randy attended the Shenandoah Community Schools.
In 1973, Randy enlisted in the United States Marine Corp, serving as a Private and received his honorable discharge on November 6, 1973. After returning back to Shenandoah, Randy worked for Mount Arbor Nurseries and Lakes Nursery before working in construction, building bridges and other projects around the Midwest. As an outdoorsman, Randy enjoyed fishing, drinking, riding motorcycles and hunting.
Preceding Randy in death were his parents; and brother, Gerald Dean Archer. Left to cherish his memory are his three sisters, Sharon Hendrickson and husband Jim of Shenandoah, Linda Brown and husband Glen of Klamath Falls, OR, and Judy Shaver of Red Oak, IA; many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles; other relatives and friends.
